Salman Irshad is currently the leading wicket-taker with six wickets in just two matches in the ongoing CPL 2023

Pakistan pace duo of Mohammad Amir and Salman Irshad displayed their exceptional skills, catapulting the Jamaica Tallawahs to a resounding victory against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Wednesday.

After being asked to bat first, the Tallawahs commenced their innings on a shaky note, losing wickets early and finding themselves at a score of 98 runs for the loss of six wickets inside the 14th over.

Salman Irshad’s spell was a game-changer, as he scalped four crucial wickets. His victims included Andre Fletcher (23), Joshua De Silva (36), Corbin Bosch (0), and Ambati Rayudu (0). Irshad conceded just 27 runs during his spell, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 6.75.

Mohammad Amir complemented the right-arm pacer brilliantly, securing crucial wickets of skipper Evin Lewis (9), Sheldon Cottrell (11), and Blessing Muzarabani (1) while giving away 20 runs in his allotted four overs, boasting an economy rate of 5.00.

Imad Wasim also made a significant contribution, claiming the vital wicket of George Linde (14), which restricted the Tallawahs to a defendable total of 156 runs, despite losing nine wickets.

In a thrilling conclusion, the Tallawahs emerged victorious by eight wickets with 21 balls remaining, successfully chasing down the target of 157 while losing only two wickets.
