Sarfaraz Ahmed out with injury, Bismillah joins Gladiators

Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has been ruled of Quetta Gladiators’ clash against Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday due to injury.

All-rounder, Mohammad Nawaz, will lead the side today in the absence of Sarfaraz.

Meanwhile, Quetta-born wicketkeeper, Bismillah Khan, has joined the Gladiators squad in Islamabad and will be available for today’s match.

Sarfaraz tried to stop a 142 kph delivery from Naseem Shah, but injured his finger in the process, during their last game against Karachi Kings.

Umar Akmal replaced Sarfaraz as wicketkeeper in the 16th over, as the Gladiators skipper went off the field with an injured finger.

Despite injury, Sarfaraz came onto bat when Gladiators were five down, and scored 29 from 25 balls.

The wicketkeeper is still feeling pain in his injured finger.
