Amir, Imad have a grudge against Babar Azam: Ahmad Shahzad

Pakistan batsman, Ahmad Shahzad, believes all is not well between Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar Azam and Karachi Kings’ Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir.

While commenting on a ‘Yes or No’ segment with Cricket Pakistan, Shahzad agreed with the statement ‘Amir, Imad have a grudge against Babar’.

“Yes, considering the statements that has been doing the rounds on TV. It is being said that this rivalry is good for the league and is a way of creating hype, but I think some blunts remarks have been heard, which are fair enough,” Ahmad replied.

“Sometimes, people have things in their heart, which are slowly coming out. We might also see them in the ground and it should be seen on the field,” he said.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar played a match-winning 68-run knock from 46 balls against Kings. During his innings, he flicked Amir for a boundary, which frustrated the left-arm pacer and he threw the next ball towards Babar in desperation.

“It was heat of the moment thing and it was nothing personal [against Babar]. Bowlers should show aggression on the field,” Amir said in pre-match interview on Thursday.
