India overtook arch-rivals Pakistan and moved to the top of the World Test Championship points table after their magnificent win in the fourth Test against England.
India has now won two Test matches, drawn one, and lost one in the World Test Championship, and could move ahead even further if they manage to win the final Test match of the series against England.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has only played two matches in the 2021-2023 World Test Championship cycle. The Men in Green have lost one match and won one, as they drew their away Test series against the West Indies 1-1.
India has 54.17 percentage of points and is followed by Pakistan and West Indies, who both have 50 percent of points. England is currently ranked fourth with 29.17 percentage of points. Only these four teams have so far competed in the current cycle of the World Test Championship.
England will have a chance to bounce back as they face India in the fifth and final match of the highly contested Test series, scheduled to start from 10 September at Old Trafford, Manchester. India currently leads the series 2-1.
Pakistan’s next Test series is scheduled to be played away from home against Bangladesh in November.
