A Russian delegation agreed to send proposals for Pakistan Steel Mills modernization (PSM).
In Karachi, the Russian delegation, led by Andrey Zubal, met with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to discuss a number of projects.

According to Sindh’s chief minister, PSM needs not only an upgrade but also modernization to meet existing steel production requirements. As a result, the visiting delegation agreed to send a team to the mill to determine the mill’s modernization needs.

The meeting agreed to prioritize the steel project’s modernization, with the feasibility and mode of operation being studied and discussed with the provincial government. The meeting also agreed to investigate the feasibility of constructing a 50MW waste-to-energy plant in Dhabeji.
