Who wore it better? Ayesha Omar, Sajal Aly’s scarlet ensemble grabs eyeballs

Designed by Rashmi Kumari, the dress is a fusion of haute couture and traditional embroidery

In the world of fashion, red is the hue that symbolizes passion, confidence, and undeniable allure. Actors Ayesha Omar and Sajal Aly, who was recently praised for their work in Kukri and What’s Love Got To Do With It? respectively, opted for the same gorgeous scarlet outfit at separate events, and the two divas had their ways of styling it.

Designed by the talented Rashmi Kumari, the red dress is a testament to the “fusion of haute couture and traditional subcontinental hand embroidery on contemporary silhouettes.” A rich, radiant red fabric drapes gracefully as the mermaid-style fitted skirt cascades elegantly, adorned with delicate feathers that hold shimmering red beads.

The intricately crafted blouse features a cut-out design over a translucent cloth embroidered with beads and threadwork of the same hue making floral patterns all over. The sleeveless blouse is adorned with red beaded tassels, gracefully swaying at the corners. The gorgeous red number also features a loose jacket matching the blouse.

For an event, the Bulbulay actor chose to accentuate her natural beauty by styling her hair in a sleek high ponytail. With a minimalist approach to makeup, she opted for fluttering mascara, a soft baby pink blush, and a subtle pink lip. Dangling pearl and sea shell-shaped earrings, accompanied by a chic ring, completed her ensemble. Ayesha decided to forego the jacket, allowing the dress to shine in all its glory.

Aly, on the other hand, for a magazine shoot, exuded timeless elegance with her bouncy blow-dried waves. Embracing a more dramatic look, she opted for a smoky eye, accentuated with a nude ombre lip and winged eyeliner. The artful play of heavy blush and contour emphasized her sculpted features. Sparkling gold, silver, and teal green blingy earrings added a touch of glamour, while sequined heels complemented the ensemble flawlessly. Sajal chose to don the jacket, further elevating the regal aura surrounding her.

While both divas unquestionably owned the red dress in their unique ways, it is up to you, the fashion connoisseurs, to decide who truly wore it better. Regardless of the verdict, there’s no denying that the enchanting red dress left an indelible mark on the fashion landscape, redefining the concept of timeless allure and elegance.
